Clarification (8/29/09) : This was not related to any complaint against God. This post was spurred by observing my Pastor's son. He is incessantly calling after his "daddy." When he needs something, when he wants to play, when he's excited for something, when he's scared...he calls for daddy. I admire that in kids. They are unashamed to ask for help, to show they care/love, and so eager to share the things they enjoy. I want to dependent on God.

The why's came out of another musing I had when watching my Pastor's son. Kids always ask "Why?" again and again and again. And I just realized we are the same towards God. Granted, sometimes it is good to ask why but at the same time, there are a lot of times where we can just take God at His word and endure the difficult things we face with God but without obsessing too much over why this is "happening to us."

I hope that disbands any confusion :)
