I want this to be for you (but I cannot tell, I cannot perceive my own twisted ways).
I want to bring you glory in the things I do.
I want to have the right desires.
I want to seek your kingdom and your righteousness and trust, truly trust, that all that I need will be added to me.
I want to let go of my own upbringing so that the "I want" becomes "He makes" and "He gives."
This is for His glory
He makes His glory visible in the things I do.
He makes my desires right.
He gives me His kingdom and His righteousness and all that I need I have.
29And do not seek what you are to eat and what you are to drink, nor be worried. 30For all the nations of the world seek after these things, and your Father knows that you need them. 31Instead, seek his kingdom, and these things will be added to you.
32 "Fear not, little flock, for it is your Father’s good pleasure to give you the kingdom. 33 Sell your possessions, and give to the needy. Provide yourselves with moneybags that do not grow old, with a treasure in the heavens that does not fail, where no thief approaches and no moth destroys. 34 For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also. LUKE 12:32-34
Got this quote from my journal, which has some pretty cool quotes and scripture included in it and interlaced throughout its pages. Here's something to chew on:
He brings a death upon our feelings, wishes, and prospects when He is about to give us the desire of our hearts.
- John Newton (famous for writing the hymn "Amazing Grace")

the matthew counterpart (the point is the same, but from a different perspective):
25 “Therefore I tell you, do not be anxious about your life, what you will eat or what you will drink, nor about your body, what you will put on. Is not life more than food, and the body more than clothing? 26 Look at the birds of the air: they neither sow nor reap nor gather into barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not of more value than they? 27 And which of you by being anxious can add a single hour to his span of life? [7] 28 And why are you anxious about clothing? Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow: they neither toil nor spin, 29 yet I tell you, even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these. 30 But if God so clothes the grass of the field, which today is alive and tomorrow is thrown into the oven, will he not much more clothe you, O you of little faith? 31 Therefore do not be anxious, saying, ‘What shall we eat?’ or ‘What shall we drink?’ or ‘What shall we wear?’ 32 For the Gentiles seek after all these things, and your heavenly Father knows that you need them all. 33 But seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things will be added to you.
34 “Therefore do not be anxious about tomorrow, for tomorrow will be anxious for itself. Sufficient for the day is its own trouble.
