How cool

I love me (& God) time! hahah

Found a hymnal book when I was walking in the music library on the ground floor. I was trying to see if there were computers on that floor (I've never been on that floor before) so I nonchalantly acted like I was looking for a book down one of the aisles so I wouldn't look stupid/lost for coming down and then going up. And when I stopped walking I was at a section of hymnal books so I picked one up.

This is the page I turned to:

"Jesus confirm my heart's desire
to work, and speak, and thinking for Thee
Still let me guard the holy fire
and still stir up thy gift in me

Ready for all Thy perfect will,
my acts of faith and love repeat
Till death Thy endless mercies seal
and make my sacrifice complete"

Alroightt.
'tis all. (wow, what is this hymnal book doing to mine writing)

mm, i like hymns.

Luther wrote this when he had to stay in a castle, because a king (i forget which) was to kill him.

1

A mighty fortress is our God,
A bulwark never failing;
Our helper He amid the flood
Of mortal ills prevailing.
For still our ancient foe
Doth seek to work us woe --
His craft and pow'r are great,
And armed with cruel hate,
On earth is not his equal.

2

Did we in our own strength confide
Our striving would be losing,
Were not the right Man on our side,
The Man of God's own choosing.
Dost ask who that may be?
Christ Jesus, it is He --
Lord Sabaoth His name,
From age to age the same --
And He must win the battle.

3

And tho this world, with devils filled,
Should threaten to undo us,
We will not fear, for God hath willed
His truth to triumph thru us.
The prince of darkness grim --
We tremble not for him;
His rage we can endure,
For lo! his doom is sure --
One little word shall fell him.

4

That word above all earthly pow'rs --
No thanks to them abideth;
The Spirit and the gifts are ours
Thru Him who with us sideth.
Let goods and kindred go,
This mortal life also;
The body they may kill:
God's truth abideth still --
His kingdom is forever.
