Can words be more?

Capitalization, punctuation, syntax, diction
Can words be more?
Do they say more than what these simple,
complex, and compound sentences portray?

Living Word of God, You reveal something astounding,
an awesome truth hidden from the wise;
only revealed by the grace of God.

Words about submission demonstrate the
prostrate lives we were born to lead:

"I saw a Lamb standing...with seven horns and with seven eyes,
which are the seven spirits of God sent out into all the earth...
And they sang a new song, saying,
'Worthy are you to take the scroll,
and to open its seals,
for you were slain, and by your blood you ransomed people for God
from every tribe and language and people and nation,
and you have made them a kingdom and priests to our God
and they shall reign on the earth...
Worthy is the Lamb who was slain, to receive power and wealth and wisdom and might and honor and glory and blessing. And I heard every creature in heaven and on earth and under the earth and in the sea, and all that is in them, saying, 'To him who sits on the throne and to the Lamb be blessing and honor and glory and might forever and ever!' And the four living creatures said, 'Amen!' and the elders fell down and worshiped.
(Revelation 5:6,9-10, 13-14)

words lay low at the sound of Your name.
they fall face down.
only those that have the privilege to usher in the praise of Your name
stand tall:

"'Weep no more; behold, the Lion of the tribe of Judah, the Root of David, has conquered so that he can open the scroll and its seven seals.'"
"Worthy is the Lamb who was slain."
"'Surely I am coming soon.' Amen. Come, Lord Jesus!

of no less privilege are the lowly ones,
whose glory is to describe who You are.
their delight is in making You known.

though imperfect and prone to fall short,
You faithfully use them beyond their own strength
to speak things indescribable
to reveal what is unseen
to create what was unformed.

the hope set in these lower-cased words
is to, one day, burst forth and
shout in perfection who You really are
JESUS!!! YAHWEH!! ABBA, FATHER!!! EMMANUEL!!!
GLORIOUS, HOLY, RIGHTEOUS, POWERFUL, LOVE, JOY, PEACE

maybe there will be no words.
maybe it won't matter any more.
only loud throngs and shouts of praise,
rolling forth in incoherent bliss.

Oh, words. little ones who desire to be so much.
If only you, my words, could be more than words.
Perhaps, sprout feet and legs and arms.

Go forward and do as you say!
Be what you are on paper, e-mail, and sound waves.
Words that walk, love, live, and move,
and become what they describe.

Oh, words, little words
you will be more.
